CREDO

Counseling is a method for helping others help themselves.  With vocational counseling a person acquires an understanding of one's abilities, interests, and career opportunities.  It also provides an understanding of one's emotions and attitudes that shape, direct, and influence career objectives.

A threat-free atmosphere of care and trust is provided for individualized exploration of personal issues or concerns that may be part of these decisions.  Help is provided to organize, consider options, set priorities, put needs in perspective, seek out alternatives, and explore new directions, based on personal input and insight.

Counseling sessions are confidential.  Written consent is required to release information outside the counseling session.  Matters involving severe emotional distress or medical attention will be referred to appropriate professionals.
